Romblon City is located just 75KM away from Boracay Philippines. St. Joseph’s Cathedral and Belfry

This church was build in 16th or 17the century somewhere in the year 1641 and 1725 which makes it one of the oldest church of the Romblon province. Even after so many years, the structure of the church is still standing in its rich architectural details. The church is built with big blocks and bricks of coral which make it different and unique building from other building of the city.

Forts Santiago and Fort San Andres

The date of construction of this fort is not confirmed if you asked the guide there then they will tell you a date between 15 to 16th century. The building of this fort is made of coral blocks and bricks. Due to its fine construction, the building is still standing with its shine and original look. According to history, the fort was used as a tower to protect citizens from the Duch pirates in past. The fort is located 157ft above the sea level which allows you to have a great view of the whole city from the top.

Bonbon Beach

When we talk about the attractions in Boracay, then it could not be completed without Bandon beach. This beach is located just 5 KM off from the Romblon city. This island is part of Romblon and it is also known as Nagoso beach. To reach the beach, you need to pass by the deep forest of the Island. The forest is safe for tourist to travel alone. There is also a cave system near the beach which is popular Nagoso cave’s name. It is believed that it is one of the biggest caves which exist across the islands. The old artwork can be also found inside the cave. It has been believed that this cave was used to punish the people in ancient history.
